MJ Real Estate Investment Trust was launched to provide investors with a fixed-income alternative with a dual goal of stability and above-market monthly income. The Fund targets a 10% annualized return derived mostly through monthly distributions and calculates a monthly net asset value. MJ REIT finances commercial real estate within the cannabis space, but importantly, doesn’t not “touch the plant”. The scarcity of capital within this industry allows the fund to lend at higher rates compared to other real estate markets.
